Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ownsi.ai (the “Site”) and your purchase and use of OwnSI (the “Product”). The Site and the Product are operated by AI4Live LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“AI4Live,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). OwnSI was previously sold as Personal OS.

By using the Site or buying or using the Product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Product.

2. Who may use OwnSI

You must be at least 18 years old. If you buy or use OwnSI for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business.

3. The product

OwnSI is downloadable software and content that gives a compatible AI tool a structure, rules and agents on your own computer. It includes a workspace, AI instructions, scripts and agents, installers for supported Mac and Windows computers, guides and videos. Features available in your version are described on the Site and in the materials delivered with your purchase.

OwnSI is not an AI model. It works with AI tools you obtain separately, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, and other tools that can connect to it.

4. Buying and delivery

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout. Applicable taxes are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details. After payment we deliver the Product by email, usually right away. If the delivery email does not arrive, write to support@ownsi.ai from your purchase email.

We may change prices for future purchases at any time. A price change does not affect a purchase you have already paid for.

5. Refunds and setup guarantee

Because the Product is delivered immediately, sales are final and we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

Setup guarantee. If OwnSI will not start on a supported Mac or Windows computer, email support@ownsi.ai with the installer report. We will work through it with you. If it cannot be made to run for technical reasons, we will refund your payment. The guarantee covers technical inability to run; it does not cover business results.

Scheduling, cancellation and refunds for setup sessions and implementation services follow the terms shown when you book or the signed agreement for that service.

6. Discounts and promotion codes

From time to time we may offer discounts or promotion codes. Unless the offer says otherwise:

a code applies only to the products and period stated in the offer, and may be limited in number;
a code can be used once per customer and cannot be combined with other offers;
a code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and cannot be applied to past purchases;
we may change or end an offer at any time before you use it;
the final price after any discount is the price shown at checkout.

We may refuse or cancel a code that was obtained or used in a way that breaks these Terms or the offer rules.

7. Licence

When you buy an individual plan, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use OwnSI for one person. You may adapt it for your own work. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, share or redistribute the Product or its parts. Team use requires a separate team agreement. The full licence terms are in the LICENSE file included with the Product.

Your own content in your workspace (your notes, records, rules and data) remains yours.

8. Team and implementation services

Prices for team rollouts and implementation shown on the Site are estimates. Team terms, scope, schedules and prices are set only in a written agreement signed by both parties. Information on the Site is not an offer for these services.

9. Third-party AI tools and services

Using OwnSI requires third-party tools, such as an AI tool account or subscription and, where applicable, Obsidian. You obtain them from their providers under their own terms, prices and privacy policies. When your AI tool reads information from your workspace to answer a request, that information is sent to that provider.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor, Obsidian, Google or other third parties named on the Site. Their names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to show compatibility. We do not control their availability, pricing, features or changes, and we cannot guarantee that OwnSI will stay compatible with every future version of them.

10. AI output and examples

AI tools can make mistakes. Review AI output before you rely on it, especially for legal, financial, medical or other important decisions. OwnSI saves your corrections as rules, but it does not retrain AI models and cannot guarantee that a mistake will not repeat.

Numbers, scenarios and demonstrations on the Site, including token-usage figures, are examples to illustrate how features work. Your results depend on your tools, data and use, and are not guaranteed.

11. Reviews and testimonials

We publish only genuine reviews and testimonials from real users, and only with their permission. We may shorten a review for length or correct obvious typos without changing its meaning. If you send us a review, testimonial or feedback, you allow us to use, display and quote it on the Site and in our materials, with the name or description you approve. You can ask us to remove your review at any time by writing to hello@ownsi.ai.

Testimonials describe individual experiences. They are not a promise that you will get the same result.

12. Intellectual property

The Site, the Product and their content, including text, graphics, videos, software, the OwnSI name, logo and mascot, are owned by AI4Live LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as allowed in these Terms or the licence, you may not copy, republish, distribute or create derivative works from them.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site or Product unlawfully; try to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with the Site or introduce malware; scrape the Site by automated means (legitimate search engines and AI crawlers excepted); remove licence notices from the Product; or use the Product to infringe others’ rights.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

EXCEPT FOR THE SETUP GUARANTEE ABOVE, THE SITE AND THE PRODUCT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR PRODUCT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI4LIVE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE OR THE PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PRODUCT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) IF YOU PAID NOTHING. LIABILITY FOR SERVICES UNDER A SIGNED AGREEMENT IS GOVERNED BY THAT AGREEMENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI4Live LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or Product, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

17. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

18. Informal resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at hello@ownsi.ai and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

19. Severability, waiver, entire agreement

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the Product licence are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and the Product, and do not replace any signed services agreement.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Changes apply from the time they are posted and do not affect purchases already made.
